Southern District Friendly

Every year the Southern District holds a Friendly Striking Challenge, giving us the chance to compete against other teams and visit other towers, while concentrating on improving our striking at the same time.

Following the success of last year’s challenge, we’re keeping with the league-based format that was devised by Anthony Vere-Hodge and his team at Leigh, which allows teams to accumulate points throughout the entire time the competition is running, from the start until the end of British Summer Time.

Guidance and rules of the competition are attached,  All towers are encouraged to take part, it will be a good chance to compete against teams in your area and further afield, and meet ringers who you may not have rung with before.

If you have any questions regarding the Friendly Striking Challenge, please contact Simon Beirne.

In 2016 the competition starts on 27th March and ends on Sunday 30th October, so if your band are up to the challenge please contact Simon Beirne who will add your Tower to the list of competing towers.
